About us

The award-winning Upper Wensleydale Newsletter, created in 1995, is distributed monthly throughout the area. Its purpose is to inform, educate and entertain and it has a wide readership with many people contributing articles and news. It is entirely voluntary and depends on a considerable number of people; committee, office staff, writers and distributors. It is printed by Wensleydale Press, Hawes.
To read our PDF files you'll need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. We think most of you will have this but if you don't, it's free and can be downloaded from here Adobe UK. The Newsletter

This site includes copies from February 2005 (Issue 100) onwards and a list of the main features before that with dates.
These Online documents are available in Portable Document Format or PDF. The average issue comprises of about 36 pages with a file size between 600kb and 10mb. Download time will depend on your download speed, but is well worth the wait.
Archive copies can be read at the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes or at the British Library in Boston Spa, Tadcaster.
